Her Story

Dr. Tonya Stafford is a Dallas native who was forced into trafficking at 13 and resuced after decade near Fair Park.  Her resilience spurred policy change and national rescue efforts including Texas's requirement for human trafficking awareness in the barber and cosmetology license renewal.​ 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She's Our Why

CE provider Sharla Wooten champions Dr. Tonya Stafford story within industry and the broader community.  Our collaboration with the Sharla D. Wooten Foundation supports survivors of human trafficking through Dr.Tonya Stafford's non-profit organization IGTBOK.org and the Sarah's Village Project.
